ESME WATTS
ACROPAD ATHLETE
Expressive Arts Academy
MEET ESME: My name is Esme Watts and I am 15 years old. I am from Nottingham and I train 5 days a week at Expressive Arts Academy and also attend Acro Army Associates once a month. I have been dancing since I was 7 years old and in that time I have competed at the Dance World Cup in 2020, 2021 and 2022, as well as attending and performing at lots of competitions and conventions across the UK. I do lyrical, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre, street and ballet, but acro is by far my absolute favourite. When I am older my dream job is to dance in musicals in the West End because I love to perform and show off my talents. I am at my happiest when I am on stage.
WHAT'S IN YOUR DANCE BAG: Ankle weights, ballet shoes, turn shoes, blocks, knee pads and lots of water.
FAVE ACRO MOVE: Flick to head from one knee because I like challenging moves that show control.
WHO IS YOUR HERO: My dance teacher Amal Fawzi because she has always been there for me and always supports me in everything I do.
ON MY REST DAY: I like to do turns, flips and tricks around the kitchen, watch Netflix and musicals and spend time with my friends, family and my two cats Dusty and Queenie.
